The Connaught London Events & Parties

There’s something about Mayfair that evokes a feeling of occasion, of quintessential British refinement and a luxury that is at once old-worldly and contemporary. The Connaught London, in the heart of Mayfair Village, epitomises that and more. Occupying the corner of Carlos Place, moments from Bond Street and Hyde Park, The Connaught strikes an immediate impression – the elegant 19th-century red-brick building is introduced with a Tadao Ando-designed water feature outside, and its discreet entrance is flanked by impeccably dressed doormen.

Inside, the contemporary art continues (you’ll find pieces from Damien Hirst and Barbara Hepworth), juxtaposing the centuries-old original design and solid mahogany staircase in the lobby (that Ralph Lauren has since had replicated for his New York flagship store). For social events and parties, The Connaught London goes unrivalled for places to enjoy exquisite cuisine, inventive drinks, or simply somewhere to let your hair down.

Event hosts can choose from the Guy Oliver-designed rooms to host a grand dinner or party (the Mayfair Room is the largest and the perfect place for an elaborate event), or an intimate private dinner or drinks reception. For a small gathering, we love the Champagne Room, a hidden space with rich furnishings, Georgian detailing, and a charming intimacy.

It doesn’t stop there. Hosts can opt to hire one of the outstanding restaurants; The Connaught Bar, which regularly tops the world’s best lists and comes with its world-famous Martini Trolley; or the Sommelier’s Table in the wine cellar, for an evening of food and wine you’ll never forget. Speak to the experienced team who will help you choose the ultimate venue for your event and enjoy celebrating in one of London’s most desirable addresses.
