Amongst all the modernity of Vauxhall lies a very special wedding venue: Brunswick House. This Georgian mansion was once home to the Duke of Brunswick and has stood on its Thames-side site since 1758.
This venue is grand without being stuffy. Its beautiful, well-looked-after Georgian interiors are full of antiques, vintage paraphernalia, and curios that make this venue eclectic yet stylish, and very British.
Through the Coade stone portico, the couple and their guests are led through to a warren of different rooms where the wedding reception can be held, each one uniquely styled and full of personality.
Couples can choose to hire one room or two adjoining, a floor, or the whole house, depending on the size of their party or needs. Exclusive use of the whole house means couples can make the most of the roof terrace and patio gardens, as well as each of the beautiful spaces indoors.
Brunswick House is also home to the Brunswick House Restaurant, a critically acclaimed foodie establishment where produce comes from its own organic farm in West Sussex, and wines are impeccably paired.

Brunswick House London Wedding Ceremonies
Brunswick House London is not licensed to hold wedding ceremonies. A popular option for couples is to have their civil ceremony at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham, which is a 20-minute drive away, followed by their wedding reception at Brunswick House.

Wedding receptions at Brunswick House are held in either the Saloon, the Cellar Rooms, Smoking Room, the Study, the Parlour, or the Library. Couples can also opt to hire a floor or the whole house exclusively, to make the most of each unique space.
For intimate receptions, the Study is a beautiful, panelled room with a chandelier, ornate fireplace, and period pieces that make this space cosy, romantic and elegant.
For larger receptions, consider hiring the Saloon and adjoining Smoking Room for open fires, sumptuous, draped curtains, and access to the roof terrace — a little oasis in the city. Large celebrations can also be held in the Parlour and adjoining Library (accessed via a grand, salvaged doorcase). Or, for a reception full of surprises, try the Cellar Rooms that lie beneath the mansion.
Catering comes courtesy of the critically acclaimed in-house restaurant, with chefs creating mouthwatering dishes with produce grown on their farm in West Sussex.
