What does a wedding at Metropolis Events Melbourne cost?
Five-hour wedding packages start from $219 per guest and include dining and beverages. Ceremony hire is $3,000 and reception venue hire is $3,500.
Additional fees include security, required at $65 per hour per guard.
Does Metropolis offer menu tastings for weddings?
Metropolis Events conducts quarterly group menu tastings. Your Event Planner will advise which date will be available for you to attend based on the seasonal menu which will be applicable for your wedding date.
The menu tasting will give you the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes personally selected by our Head Chef to give you an indication of the quality, portion sizes and presentation of our dishes and the opportunity to sample our beverage packages.
The group menu tasting is extended to the wedding couple only. Once RSVP’s have been received, there may be the opportunity to open up the tasting to include a limited number of additional guests upon request.

There is ample secure public car parking below the venue with direct lift and escalator access. Flinders Street Station and St Kilda Road Trams are also a short three-minute walk away. For menu tastings between 9am and 4pm Monday – Friday, discounted parking is available for Wilson Parking with a code available from the venue.

Aviary Room

Reception Venue Hire Fee
$3,500
Package Inclusions
A venue hire fee is applicable for all wedding receptions.
Fees will apply for additional cleaning requirements including but not limited to confetti canons, plate smashing and clean between bump in and event start.
INCLUSIONS
- Black dance floor (maximum eighty four pieces)
- Black perspex lectern and microphone
- Lighting package inclusive of; wall up lights, room wash lighting and dome wash lighting in the colour of your choice
- Technician on duty for the duration of your event (maximum eight hours)
SECURITY
Security is required for all weddings held at Metropolis Events. Your Sales Manager will advise of the number of guards required for your guest numbers. Security guards are required thirty minutes prior to your guests arrival, and thirty minutes past your guests
departure. Please allow $65.00 per hour, per security guard.
MINIMUM CATERING SPENDS
In addition to the Venue Hire fee, minimum catering spends apply for all events. Should your food and beverage spend fall below the required amount you may upgrade your food and beverage package to meet the specified spend or an additional venue hire fee will apply.

Onsite ceremonies can be held for up to 200 guests in the stylish and elegant Aviary Room.
Ceremonies may commence from 5.30pm onwards.
Your reception beverage package will begin immediately following the conclusion of your ceremony. Please speak to your Sales Manager should you wish to extend the beverage and canapé package prior to dinner by thirty minutes to allow additional time for your photos.
