When the sun makes an appearance, so do the summer parties — and in the UK, we make the most of every sunny minute. From garden cocktails to rooftop vibes, the setting can make all the difference. We recently caught up with one of our favourite corporate venues to find out what makes them the go-to for summer celebrations—and why event organisers keep coming back.
We spoke with Tatiana Deodato, Marketing Manager at The Brewery, to get the inside scoop on why their space is a corporate summer standout—and her take on what really makes an event unforgettable (from hidden gems and hype tracks to standout menus and weather-proof spaces).

1. If your venue had a personality, how would you describe it in three words?
Quirky, historic yet modern.
2. What’s one feature or space in your venue that always wows corporate clients?
I have to mention two. First of all, our flagship space: The Porter Tun. It is one of the city’s oldest and largest unobstructed event spaces. With its original wooden beams still intact, this historic room was once used to store beer. It’s full of character and history while offering all the modern facilities needed for any event, including summer parties. Secondly, our award-winning in-house catering. Known for outstanding quality and service (so many clients mention our food in their feedback!), our catering team consistently delivers an exceptional experience.
We were proud to win Gold for Best Catering at an In-House Venue at the 2023 London Venue and Catering Awards, and took Silver for Best In-House Catering in 2024.
3. What makes your venue perfect for summer parties?
Even though we are right in the centre of London, our 18th century courtyard is a real oasis in the middle of the city. Our summer space, The Retreat, features two decked structures with a clear, covered roof, providing a perfect setting for your event. Your guests can enjoy an all-inclusive package with delicious food, sustainable and organic wines, and a thoughtfully selected range of soft drinks.
Plus, the party doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down: our inside spaces offer the perfect extension to your gathering (and it is always included in your package as part of a wet-weather option)!
4. What sets your venue apart from others in the corporate world?
We love saying that The Brewery has been entertaining Londoners since 1750! Situated on the historic site of the former Whitbread Brewery, our Grade II listed venue combines history and modern facilities. We offer seven versatile event spaces, accommodating over 1,000 attendees, with lots of room for breakouts, catering, networking or plenary sessions.
Located in the city – near Shoreditch and Farringdon – The Brewery is easily accessible by train, tube, and nearby airports. Our high-quality in-house facilities include advanced audio-visual and IT support and highly experienced event managers. A dedicated point of contact ensures seamless planning, while our catering team works with you to create exceptional menus tailored to your delegates’ needs.

4. What’s your “hidden gem” feature that people might overlook?
Few people know that The Brewery features a vintage cinema room called The Cutting Room. Part of The Grubstreet Cellars, this intimate space can accommodate up to 48 guests and is ideal for small meetings, team presentations, film nights, team-building activities, and even wedding ceremonies.
5. How does your team make every event extra special?
Every piece of client feedback we receive highlights the excellence of our staff. The Brewery team is among the best in the industry, always going above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. Attentive, accommodating, and detail-focused, they consistently deliver exceptional service.

The Raspberry & Rose Amaretto Sour, perfect for summer parties!
7. How does your venue handle unpredictable UK weather?
If your event includes the courtyard for drinks reception, registration area, or summer party, we always ensure there is a wet weather contingency. For example, for summer parties, an indoor space is always reserved as a backup in case of unpredictable weather.
